Dang it, now they might take the joy out of microwave popcorn too.

"In the first direct study of chemicals contained in one of the nation's most popular snack foods, the EPA's Indoor Environment Management Branch at Research Triangle Park, North Carolina, is examining the type and amount of chemicals emitted from microwave popcorn bags."

I first started hearing about this when I saw a story on CNN about a lawsuit being brought by workers in a plant that packs the popcorn. They even have a name for this: popcorn packers' lung. Like black lung for coal miners. Really scary stuff.

Think I'm going to save popcorn strictly for the movie theatre until they study it a bit more...
