Madrid continued
So now it looks like it might not be the Basque separatists. CNN is now reporting that the Spanish government is looking into a possible connection with al Qaeda. A statement was made to a London based newspaper that was purportedly from an Islamic group associated with al Qaeda, but nothing is confirmed.
From what little I know it didn't seem like a Basque type of move to do something this extreme, but the time they are a changing. Need to keep an eye on this and see how it plays out.
