Lying liars for the layman
Philosoraptor is a blogger I don't list in my blogroll, because he posts kind of infrequently (he teaches at a college or university somewhere, and I think posts are dictated by his classload). But today he's got a two part post on what might be the motivations of the current administration to tell some of the whoppers they do. If you can wade through some of the more complicated points early, I think it's an interesting analysis. Part one is here, part two here.
